Core Visuals 2.0

Core Visuals 2.0 website on a laptop

Documentary-style wedding videography studio run by Dean Wightman.

When your website looks like a template, clients feel your services will look like it too. Wedding videographers stand out with a unique style and approach. So Core Visuals’ website needed a bespoke refresh that showed a blend between editorial style and portfolio showcase.

The challenge

Our challenge was to move a documentary-style wedding videographer off a template and give him something unmistakably his own.

The client approached us with a goal to make his website feel as considered as the films he makes.

  • A website that looked like a template, in a market that sells on style
  • Portfolio work presented without any editorial point of view
  • Nothing on the site distinguishing the studio from every other one
  • A clear creative approach that the site failed to communicate

The solution

When your website looks like a template, clients assume your films will too.

So we designed something bespoke: an editorial layout that treats the work like a magazine feature rather than a grid of thumbnails, with typography and pacing that carry Dean's documentary approach through the whole site.

The portfolio still does the heavy lifting, but it now sits inside a story about how he works and why couples choose him. Built in Webflow, so new films go up as soon as they are delivered.

  • A bespoke design that reads as a studio, not a template
  • Editorial layout blended with portfolio showcase
  • Messaging that explains the documentary approach
  • A Webflow CMS for publishing new films quickly

The process

  1. Discovery and messaging.

Understanding the style, the couples he works with and what sets the studio apart.

  2. Copy and structure.

Writing the message and planning a site that balances editorial and portfolio.

  3. Design.

A bespoke layout designed around the films, on a consistent system.

  4. Build and handover.

Developed in Webflow, tested, launched, and handed over with CMS training.

One less thing to manage

What does marketing need to get moving?

A new website. A campaign. Better search performance. An update that should have happened last week.

You bring the objective. We’ll handle the web part.
